About EmPowered Horizons:

       After a life-altering encounter with Christ, Rande Howell decided to change his life.  He wanted to open the opportunity for others to experience the rare peace he had found.  What he discovered, though, was that few people know this internal peace.  Most were so invested in avoiding their own personal internal demons that finding an abiding inner peace was not seen as a possibility.  He and his wife, Delores, began to redirect their lives so they could fulfill this purpose.

      Rande Howell, MEd., LPC, became a Christian therapist, life coach, workshop leader, lecturer, and author as Christ has lead him into new life.  His professional work is based on on a Biblically based mind/body/Spirit integration and teaches people how to regulate their body's and mind's emotional nature so they have new options about the world they bring forth.  It is an area that science and religion can work together effectively and produce positive growth.  His work includes anger and fear management in prison settings, school environments, within the Christian community, and in the general population.  His work is also used with peak performance training, executive coaching, and marriage coaching.

      As he integrated into Christianity, Rande was astounded to discover that modern Christianity practically ignores the body and its influence on a person's spiritual development (much less on a person's psychological development).  He also discovered that modern Christianity teaches how to know God with the mind, but not with the heart.  This integration of these important aspects of the Christian faith is what drives his current work.  It is the adventure, and the struggle, that we learn to gratefully embrace.

      Rande maintains a consulting and private practice in Charlotte, NC and an active lecture and workshop schedule.  He is married to his best friend, Delores, and they have two great kids who have grown up and are seeking their own adventures.
